January Meeting - Shopbot CNC Routers

Tuesday, January 16

TJ Christiansen and Associates

Corporate records show that ShopBot founder Ted Hall demonstrated a prototype ShopBot at a Triangle Woodworkers meeting 21 years ago. It is also where ShopBot found two of its first employees.

21 years later ShopBot, having sold thousands of tools across the world, is coming back to demonstrate their Desktop ShopBot and their innovative Handibot, the Smart Power Tool.

From the ShopBot corporate site:

Founded in 1996 in Durham, North Carolina, ShopBot Tools, Inc., designs, manufactures and distributes CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) routers for milling, drilling, and cutting of wood, plastic, metals and other materials -- powerfully, precisely, and affordably.

TJ Christiansen, ShopBots main in-house trainer, will be accompanied by two associates to demonstrate the capabilities of the Desktop ShopBot and smaller Handibot and answer any and all questions members may have.
